The 2027 DHL Super Rugby Pacific draw is out, and it starts in Christchurch. The Crusaders host the Queensland Reds at One NZ Stadium on Friday 12 February to open the competition's 31st season, the first of 17 rounds that run to Saturday 5 June. It is a ten-team competition this year, five from New Zealand, four from Australia and the Fijian Drua, after Moana Pasifika's exit, which means every team has one bye.

The headline dates for New Zealand supporters:

  • Opening weekend, 12 and 13 February: Crusaders v Reds on the Friday, then Blues v Hurricanes at Eden Park, the Highlanders against the Drua in Ba, and the Chiefs against the Force in Perth on the Saturday.
  • Super Round, 2 to 4 April: all ten teams at One NZ Stadium in Christchurch, five matches over three days, opening with Crusaders v Brumbies on the Friday night.
  • Rugby in the regions: Highlanders v Force at Rugby Park, Invercargill, on Friday 5 March; Chiefs v Hurricanes at Stadium Taranaki, New Plymouth, on Sunday 28 March; and Hurricanes v Chiefs at McLean Park, Napier, on Saturday 8 May, a rematch of the 2026 final.
  • The last night, Saturday 5 June: Highlanders v Crusaders in Dunedin closes the regular season.

It is also a World Cup year, with the tournament in Australia later in 2027, so form in this competition will go a long way to deciding Dave Rennie's squad.

All kick-off times below are New Zealand time (daylight saving ends on 4 April), and fixtures are subject to change. Finals dates and ticket details had not been published when this was written.

Blues

Three New Zealand derbies to start, including the Crusaders at Eden Park on a Sunday afternoon; the season's only Round 11 match, in Brisbane; and a finish in Wellington against the champions.
